Pushing aside the "drama" for now, to bring you serious news...

It's been about 3 weeks since I've last been in Hawaii..
I left on the the night of the 19th in Honolulu, but in Canada, it was the 20th.
When I arrived home, still on the 20th, 5 days later would my 17th birthday.
Yet little did I know, the day after; on the 26th of March, my uncle Melvin
would drown from a tragic tidal wave accident in Halona Blowhole beach.
It was only just today my mother found out from a phone call from my tita Leah.
Obviously it wasn't a happy phone call, it was a sad one which somewhat
involved tears.
I was on the phone with my friend RJ, when I found out the news.
Stacey walked in and told me how he died from fishing by the shore.
It's tragic and very sad for my family and I right now.
My sister and I were discussing about how it's interesting how we saw him
that Wednesday, 8 days prior to his death.
After that, we'd never see him again. : /
I still remember him telling me and Stacey about the 2 hour horseback riding
tour in Kailua, and how he was so amazed by it and how he's never seen that
part of Hawaii before.. especially since he's been born and raised in Hawaii
himself.
He was always so happy, so nice and so sincere.
My dad was also saying how he was sitting beside him during dinner and
how they talked nonstop about a the places they've seen in Hawaii.
It's odd how you never know when God puts a timer on you..
but I'm happy that he's in a better place now. :)
I'll miss you uncle.
